At Deskbook, we respect the critical and confidential nature of your financial, billing, inventory, and party data. All business documents, master records, transaction histories, and ledgers entered into Deskbook remain the sole proprietary property of your organization. Deskbook does not sell, rent, or commercialize your business data to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on your deployment mode (Windows Desktop offline, Android Mobile, or Cloud Web), Deskbook collects:
- Account & Registration Details: Legal business name, administrator email address, contact phone number, and GSTIN.
- Transactional Records: Sales invoices, purchase bills, inventory logs, and accounting vouchers entered to operate the system.
- Device & Telemetry Data: IP address, operating system version, browser type, and anonymous error logs used solely for diagnosing platform stability.
3. Offline Local Database Storage
When using the Deskbook Windows Desktop application, your business records are stored locally on your machine in an embedded database. When synchronization is enabled, encrypted changes are transmitted securely via TLS to our secure cloud database to enable multi-device access.
4. Data Security and Access Controls
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Access to cloud databases is restricted strictly to authorized infrastructure personnel. Within your organization, access to specific reports, margins, and documents is governed by your designated administrator through Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
5. Retention and Account Deletion
Your data is retained for the duration of your active subscription and as required by Indian commercial record-keeping laws. You may export your entire transaction history to Excel or CSV at any time. Upon written request to support@deskbook.in, your cloud organization data will be permanently purged after an appropriate grace period.
